NABLUS, (PIC)-- MP Ahmed Al-Haj has affirmed that any settlement to the Palestine cause that does not include the restoration of the holy Aqsa Mosque and occupied Jerusalem to the Palestinians is doomed to failure.
The MP, who is detained in Israeli occupation jails, said in a statement on the occasion of the 38th anniversary of the burning of the holy Aqsa Mosque that occupied Jerusalem is the core of the Palestine cause. He added that the Palestinian people, who ignited the Aqsa intifada, would never leave the Aqsa in the hands of the Zionist occupiers.
The PLC member, for the Hamas change and reform bloc, said that all parties seeking a solution to the Palestine question should be "intelligent" enough to realize that the issue of Jerusalem is not solely a Palestinian issue and that no faction or authority is entitled to cede one inch of the holy Aqsa Mosque.
Haj warned that the Aqsa Mosque is the target of daily judaization attempts while some (Palestinian officials) are still keen on holding meetings with occupation leaders, which did not breed anything of benefit to the Palestinian people.
The lawmaker called for "real Palestinian unity" to confront the "coming dangers" and to support the Palestinian people's steadfastness.
He announced backing to the proposal voiced by Sheikh Ra'ed Salah, the leader of the Islamic Movement in the 1948 lands, which called for establishing an Arab, Islamic and international fund to save the Aqsa Mosque and occupied Jerusalem and to back the Palestinian Jerusalemites.
